Walt: find equivalent fractions.
This weeks for maths problem solving its all about fraction. Did you know that you can
solve a fraction  question by using time, divide pluses and take away. My buddy and I
had to think a lot because fractions can be very difficult to solve.

San Diego zoo!  I want to touch the animals, play with the animals and feed the animals, but I can’t, because these animals are on the internet.  I feel so betrayed as watching the videos on the internet instead of real life, I wondered if it was a scam?  

This week for writing we were informed about going to the zoo....... on the internet.

When we were to write about how boring it is to watch the zoo from the internet, We hat to write a complex sentence, simple sentence and a complex question.

This terms topic is survivers so Mr goodwin gave every group a different place and ours were grassland. It was pretty cool. I learnt that in grassland there are less trees and plants.  Grasslands are in certain places like farms and many more.

Fear factor 2015

Walt: THink about my purpose and reader by planning my recount

Fear factor the most hardest, scariest and unbelievable game. Mr goodwin the most craziest teacher off all the worlds has made us do challenges like chicken flavored worms, head band challenge, egg race and now fear factor. There are four contestants, me, hosea, Inez and christian. Our crazy teacher says we have to eat frog eggs and pond water. I was sure he was lying but I was still afraid . He brings in the food and with relief I say YES!.

This week Mr good had made us do a challenge called fear factor. There were four contestants that had to drink pond water and eat frog eggs. As I was one of the four contestants I was more than scared but I also knew That it was one of Mr goodwin's tricks.

What is Onomatopoeia

WALT:  We are learning to use onomatopoeia to help create interest in our writing.

This week we are learning to use onomatopoeia in our writting. Here is a
example of what onomatopoeia. Onomatopoeia is something that describs
and action word, objects and many more.

Year five and six market day

Walt: write an interesting and detailed recount 

It was Friday morning and there I was at school, while walking I remembered it was market day. Selling and buying, that's all that was happening. Suddenly , I check to see if I brang my product, I surely didn't want to let my team down.  When looking down I sighed with relief, my product was in my bag.

Snif snif snif what is that I smell. I realised it was the aroma coming from homeware candles. Every team had set up everything ready to go for the trade and enterprise 2015 market day. I so excited that I stayed near the porch until morning tea finished. We were all there for a reason, to sell buy and make money.  There wasn't just homeware but also jewellery, stationery, music and toys.  Every group had their products it was all so exciting.

Finally it was time, My group and I decided it that I will sell first and they will buy. I had an idea to start doing a add to entertain people to our candles. We have made six orange candles, and sixteen skull faced candles. Entertaining people for our candles were working, Later on the whole selling thing became a challenge, The other homeware group challenged us to see who can make the most money, Challenge accepted.

When selling the products I realised our product was easily disappearing one by one. After some time I was informed that we were making  a lot of money/ pts and pieces. While selling the products I couldn't wait to start buying before everything was out of order. I was really interested in the popsicle sticks and knew that there were a lot of fans. I was feeling too excited staring at people eating and licking the popsicle sticks, one of my team mates bought everyone in our group tiny popsicle stick, but I thought that was NOT enough.

“Half time”, says Mr S. I was now free to buy my popsicle stick. When happily getting there they were all sold out.  With my head down I felt very very sad, I put my head up and there I see cute cupcakes that looked kinda like pandas. I enjoyed it as it went it my mouth it was delicious. I ate my cupcake in front of the popsicle lovers, showing off. I couldn’t finish my cupcake, so I gave it to my friend.  I started to tour around and admire such things like maths book covers, loom band Jewellery, drums, ukuleles, a variety of food and different kinds of toys.

After a hard day of shopping and selling it was time for market day to end. Having fun and enjoying market day made me more than happy, But ending it made me sad. We then had to count our money and that frown turned upside down.  We made fifteen pts, even though we made a little I was happy for my team and me.  But I myself was still enemies with the popsicle loves.

Last week the year five and six block had there own trade fair. There are six groups,kitchen,toys,home ware, music and custom stationary. I am in the group called home  ware, my team decide it to make candles. Our choices were oranges candles and skull face candle. It was all mostly about selling and buying. My group did not make as mush as I though we would but we had FUN!!!!!.  Read my recount and you will know what existing things that had happen.

This week for literacy Mrs Tito made a presentation for us to do to learn about

auxiliary verbs. First it was abit hard to make up verbs but at the end it

all worked out. Luckily I finished the presentation and  int time posted on my blog.

decimals. My buddy  Seini and I found out that we can get our answer by

Vocabulary

Walt: use the words related to the story to write our own sentences.

This week we are learning to use vocabulary in our sentences. Mr Goodwin says that we have to practice using vocab in our writing. Our goal was to buddy up and use some words to write a sentence that explains what the word means.

Amazing Loofahs

Walt: Learn and use new Vocab.

this week for literacy we are learning to learn to use vocab. We had to read a book about loofahs and write about it. It felt like writing and doing a advertisement. loofahs are known as scrubbers and they grow as plants Crazy right!

This week for our maths problem solving we are learning how to divide and multiply
whole nubers to find the answer. I was really happy about this weeks problem solving
because times tables and dividing is something I am good at. Hopefully I get all the answers
right.

this week for litresy we are doing an advice blog. We have to give advice

to someone who needs help.  This is the person who needs help his name is james able and he want to buy a fitness watch. I have to help him decide witch watch he should buy, the fitbit or the garmen.

Maths problem solving

Walt: add and subtract decimals
This week my partner Seini and I did maths problem solving week three. We decide
that I do the first slide and she does the second slide. We had to add and subtract
decimals to get our answer, I had to add and she had to subtracr. Seini and I thought
it was quite easy.

Bean bags for hire

Its comfitiable, it's helpful yup its the well known bean bags.

Sitting on hairy, dirty carpets and uncomfortable chairs is not what I want to do. Luckily the year five and six block have something better than dirty, hairy and uncomfortable, you guessed it its two new bean bags. Its comfortable, it's easy to sit on and you only need 3 pts, It is so comfortable that it will become your best friend.

The bean bags are filled with  soft ,white, fake beans so that means if you want to play with snow but it never snows just tear it apart and you will have hot snow. You might be wondering how the bean bag is so comfortable? well that rubber skin you're leaning on is what make the bean bags very comfortable. Are you some of the people who move a lot well the bean bag can turn into any shape that is suitable for you.

The bean bags  comes in  a lot of colors but we decide it to pick the color of the slippery grass and the bright sky.  It is the most amazing colors you will ever see.

Like I informed you on my introduction that with only 3pts you will have a new best friend. Our company have just been informed that if you pay three pts you can have the bean bag for the whole day yup for the whole day.  You can also show off by sitting down on the relaxing and comfortable bean bag while your friends sits down on the hairy floor.  

Remember for only three Pts the bean bag is yours. Heres a tip from the professionals  come really early to school so you don't need to argue with your friend about whos going to be  on the bean bag. Just 3pts and it's all yours.

Today room six reading and writting class we learning how to write a advertisment to puseud people to bying the bean bags to sit on. The bean bags coest three doolers to sit on for a whole day. I used some words around the class room to write my advertisement. The main thing we had to do was re craft the writting Mr Goodwin wrote and try to make it sound better.

Kauri trees

This week our task was to create and advertisement about furniture made out of

kauri trees. First we had to get images of kauri trees then get a picture of the furniture

made out of Kauri trees, tell how much it cost and write a advertisement that

will get viewers to by the furniture.
