Ambassadors
Kia Ora my name is Rima and I am 10 years old. I was born in a place called burma. My father and mother were also born in Burma. The reason I want to be an ambassador is so that I can let go of my shyness and bring in my confedens. I also want to represent pt england school and show other schools that we never give up and we always strive to succeed.
The reason I think I am going to be a good ambassador is because I am really kind to others. I've never been in trouble. And I always use my manners. So that is way I think I am ready to be an ambassador.

Our trip to the art gallery.
Introduction
Have you ever seen sculptures, furniture and art?
Well the year fives from Pt England school had a chance to visit the Ackland art gallery.
When we reached the art gallery we had some wonderful people waiting for us. Then they introduce themselves and told us there names, it was Charlotte, Linda and Mandy. When the clock stricted to ten the doors opened wide.
Afterwards we started exploring. The first room we went to was called the victorian art. Inside the victorian art Linda informed us what we had to do. We had to admire a picture called the The Fortune Teller and explain what was happening in the picture. After that we had to draw what happens next. My story was that when the girl is about to get married there was this form that slips out of the man's pocket and when she reads it she finds out the truth and then it was of with his head.
Soon after we visited another room. So then we admired another art it had a lot of colors. Linda explained us what we had to do. She said that each colour represents something so we had to find out what it represents. She also gave us some clues for example she gently tapped the ground with her fingers and then we had to found out what the sound sounded like.
Later that time we went outside for morning tea. Morning tea was great but the awful part was that we had to walk on so much stairs it was terrifying! After we finished our lunch we had nothing to play on suddenly we had some kids from class ten and nine using the stairs as slides it was awesome.
Conclusion
Later the parent helpers got their chance to take us exploring the art gallery. The first room we went to was the lego room. We made so much crafts and we also got to go to the learning center that is where we got to play with the toys. Maybe next time you might get a chance to go to the art gallery. If you do I hope you have fun exploring art.
This is an image if the stair slides. |

Birds
Birds can fly. They fly high. Some fly miles across the sky. In the spring birds build nests. Not to rest in.
They build nests for their eggs, for thier young. Some birds bring twigs and leaves, bits of string. What a neast!
Day and night mother bird and father bird watch there eggs. They keep them safe and warm. Soon chip chip the eggs crack. And out slip babby birds. They have no feathers. They can not fly. But they are hungry. They can eat. Oh my what do the baibies eat? Worm and grubs, beetles and bugs and tiny insect eggs. They can eat ever so much- caterrpillars, grasshoppers, ants and flies and such. Soon the young birds grow feathers. They have lessons to learn. They must learn to mind mothers, and find their food. Some take a turn at learning to swim. And most birds learn to fly. Some birds fly far. Some fly so far we cannot see how they find their way. For they fly hundreds of miles through pathless sky. Some birds catch their food as they fly. They snap up moths and other insects going by. They have beaks that can snap shut fast. Many birds like grain and seeds. They have short, sharp for pecking. They crack seeds open or swallow foods whole. Fruits and berries are the foods some birds need. They swallow the berries. Then they scateer the seeds.

Rima Immersion Assembly
Wow today is the first day of term four. Today at assembly Mr Burt Informed us the new topic it is called art attack. The meaning of art attack is creating art
like crafting, painting, drawing and making models.
All teachers were performing on stage to show us art. I mostly enjoyed team one because they were throwing some chocolate fish. It was my lucky day I caught one it was delicious. I also thought that the chocolate fish was art because it had colours like brown and pink.
Do you know about the primary colours it is red blue and Green. If you mix blue with red it will install purple and if you mix blue with green it will transform into yellow. And if you mix red with green it will make brown.

Key competences
Introduction
Do you know what the five key competencies are ? These are the key competencies thinking, managing self, relating to others, using language symbols and text and participating and contributing.
Managing self
You should manage yourself while you're online and not online.
For example if you're online you should manage yourself by
going on the right site. If your not online you should manage you
hands legs and mouth and also use your wits.
Relating to others
Relating to others is when you respect others by contributing and participating. For example Whenever you need to say sorry you should give them a gift to make them feel happy. Incase if you're not participating you should think about relating to others and start joining in.
Thinking
As soon as you are thinking you are using your brain and when you use your brain you are learning new things. For example if you are stuck on a really hard question you have to use your brain and start thinking. Then you will learn new stuff and start thinking everyday.
Participating and contributing
Participating means you're giving and when you are giving you are making new friends. When you are contributing it means you are joining in and when you join in you will be with your whole team.
Conclusion
Now you know what the key competences are. I hope you use them at home and at school thank you for reading. Remember to leave a comment.

cybersmart.
Have you ever heard of this phrase? Use my brain use my heart I'm going to cybersmart.
Use my brain
Before using your brain online, you must stop think and do. It is really important that you use your brain when you are doing something. For example, if you get stupid emails like someone wants to do something bad to you. The first thing you should do is take a snapshot of the email then show it to your teacher.
Use my heart
When you are online and you are feeling like you are doing the wrong thing you should always listen to your heart for the answer. It will help you listen to what you should be doing. For example if you were sending a mail to say sorry you should write it with your heart.
I’m going to be cybersmart
Its really important you be cybersmart. For example if your friend is on a bad site you should think about it before you go on it. And when you are online and you are stuck one a question you should use your brain and be smart.

What is Culture?
What is Culture?
Cultures is what makes countries unique. Each country has different cultural activities and cultural rituals. Culture is seen in peoples writing, religion, music, clothes, cooking, and in what they do.
Culture also includes the way people understand the world and their own lives.
Different countries have different cultures. For example, some older Japanese people wear kimonos, arrange flowers in vases and have tea ceremonies.
My family and I is from Bangladesh. In my culture we celebrate something called Ead it is when girls and boys gets to show of their new clothes. My favorite part is when adults give money to kids, after that it will be our decision to save it or waste it. What would you do with the money?

Magel - Marble golf !!!
The event that was made five weeks ago was invented by Rima. As you all know the event is called marble golf. My Event is Golf but I used marbles instead and my fingers instead of the golf sticks. The aim of the game is to get all your marbles inside the hole.
You will need two marbles for each person. You will also need to make a hole in the ground. It has to be held in a field or a place that has grass, so that you can make a hole. If it is held on concrete the game will be different.
There can be two players or more but if there are two the game will end fast and you will also have fun. The rules are to have fun no cheating and you can't get the players marbles in unless you finish yours. And if you do you will be out.

In August the 4th a world war began, lots of countries began to team up to start the war.
Many flags today will flown at half mast, so when we look at the flag it will make us remember what happened 100 years ago.
The New Zealand and Australian troops were called the anzacs that is why we wear the poppy.

Commonwealth games dictoglos
The Commonwealth games known as the friendly games has a unique place in sporting history. It is an international multi sport event like the Olympics, but the athletes are from commonwealth countries. This includes countries like England, New zealand and the pacific island.
The first games were held in 1930 in Hamilton, Canada. Eleven
countries sent four hundred athletes to take part in six sports and sixty nine events. Since then the games have been held every four years. However in 1942 in 1946 the games were cancelled because of the world war two.
The event has had many changes, even its names. from 1930 to 1950 the games were known as the british empire games. Later, from 1970 until 1974 they took the title of the british commonwealth games. Finally, at the 1970 games in Edmonton, Canada this multi sport event changes its name to the commonwealth games.
